Default Honda recon trx250 pull start only

I have a 2001 Honda Recon TRX250, when you turn key, neutral light will not come on, and if you push button to start, no noise, nothing... however it will fire up when pull start it on first pull... could it be just a bad engine switch?

Battery shows fully charged. After you pull start every time you push the throttle the neutral light goes off. If your idling it stays on.

There is a fuse like part near the battery. You might try that cause when i took mine out the neutral light went off.

my 01 recon is doing the same thing. Just put a brand new battery in it, turned the key, and the neutral lights wont come on/ electric starter wont work. When i pull start it, it fires right up and then the neutral light comes on. I can also start it by crossing the solinoid. Any ideas?
