Default 2007 400 EX Replacement shocks

My son Josh started racing the Hare scrambles in Upstate New York. My son is 17yrs old he stands 6ft 3inches tall and his weight is approx 250lbs. My son has commented several times about the fact that when he jumps and lands the wheeler feels like it "bottoms out". He claims that the wheeler lands extremely hard. I have tired adjusting the stock suspension but it doesn't seem to help. Can you tell me what shock are the best value and performance? A friend of mine directed me toward "Shock works" not sure if they are a good choice? Thanks

WNYOA? I had GTThunder rework my stock rear YFZ shock, 100% happy with how it turned out. If I would have known it would be that good I would have had him do the fronts instead of going aftermarket.

Honda 450r front shocks are a common up grade. They will fit with out any problems and they are cost effective.

Be glad you didn't make it to Bark Busters. They usually have a great race, but this year was, um, not so nice, lol. I am shooting for Miles Mountain if I can get my machine ready. I have a gift certificate for Hygear Suspension you can have, $50.00 off a shock package.
