I have the HMF sport series pipe and it has provided alot of power for my 07 400ex. However the noise was VERY LOUD! So I installed the HMF quiet core with spark arrestor. I have not lost any power that I can feel and it sounds much more tuned. I dont own or have access to a DB meter but it is supposed to quiet it down to like 93-94 DB if I remember right so when you are riding in DB restricted area it should be good. Its still loud but really only when i romp on it. Hope this helps!

thats also looks like a good option and i like how it comes with 3 different inserts for different sound and power levels. i still want to hear more about the lexx MXe pipe though. the price is really nice on th MXe although i would like to hear other peoples opinions on it

I got one...as far as fit and finish I would give it a B, and sound an A as it is 93db or so with quiet core insert,...but just so you know, according to all the actual dyno results I've found, a slip on pipe gives between 1 and 2 hp tops. This was with all the big names in pipes done on a 400ex, although I cant find the link now. It was done by an atv magazine. So anyway It's not something that is going to turn you quad into a firebreathing monster, but it is the first step towards that. Bottom line is go with whatever you think sounds best imo because the claimed hp increase all these companies brag about is BS. You gotta do some actual engine mods to get take advantage of you better airflow and then you see the difference.

well im prolly going to go with the lexx or a HMF competition series. not sure what yet but i like the HMF more because it already comes with all the different sound inserts and im my opinion i think it looks way cooler then the lexx, and yes i know i should decide just based on looks.

I've heard the hmf sport slip-on and they are loud i just bought a DG x2 for my honda 450r and it still has a nice grunt but is not really loud were people chase me down on my quad which happens to my friend he had a DRD pipe but a officer made him remove it.
