I only use Honda HP2 premix oil and Honda I think HP4 ( in the gold bottle ) in the tranny. I know I'll probably get some slack for being brand loyal but I've never had any issues either. Using just what you can find right now may cost you later. I also used to work for Autozone and what they had then I would never run in my bikes.

If you can find it at the local Auto parts store, Amsoil is hard to beat, they make excellent 2 stroke premix and injector oils, plus make many grades of ATV and motorcycle oils and gear lubes. I run the Saber premix for my yard care 2 strokes, even if the factory mix is 30:1, you can run up to 100:1 with guaranteed protection, not that i would mix it that lean, but I make a 50:1 mix, use it in everything from my weed wacker to my chainsaw, all which call for different mixes, and have had zero problems in 2 summers of hard use on all i run it in. This way, if you are off a little on your mix, it wont hurt anything, and Amsoil really cuts down on smoke and the standard 2 stroke smell you get with some oils.
