Hello everyone, new to the forum here! Bought a Stock 07 400ex and I am looking into upgrading the factory cooling system,( Oil cooler and tank). Also thinking about adding scoops and a fan. Just a few questions....

1.) What works and what doesn't?

2.) Where can I get these parts?

Well since noone else is answering you I'll take a stab at it...
I have heard of people doing a couple of things. One is buying an oil cooler off a truck and replacing your stock one with this larger one. If you search the forums there is a pick of someone who did this and it looked really good. Another is simply buying a bolt on aftermarket oil resevoir which holds more oil...more oil=cooler oil.

1. I dont know as I havent done this yet.
2. Ebay CFM Aluminum Oil Tank Cooler Honda TRX 400EX TRX400EX : eBay Motors (item 380238297568 end time Jun-29-10 08:04:27 PDT) or an auto parts store.

 

Thank you very much! I am going with a CFM Larger oil tank and a set of their shrouds if they will fit my 07....Contacting them to make sure before purchasing!

 

hey my friend just bought one of those!! haha. he is really happy with it, and has noticed a big difference (he needed it cause he has a full blown 426 race motor)
