Well now I have another problem, I was trying to take the bolt off the clutch inner hub, that the disks sit around, and I was holding it with a small breaker bar and broke one of the shafts off, the shafts that holds the springs in the clutch basket. So dose anyone have one of those? And what spacer pate do I need, wasn’t aware of any spacer?

Do you have a manual? Either Clymer or OEM? If not, you should get one. It will probably anwer all you questions. For $30 or so it will save you a lot of money in the end.

I have one suggestion, and it will save you tons of problems. While doing all of this get a head stud kit for the head, this is the only problem area for the 400ex and it rears its ugly head when you go with a high compression piston.
I have got them from gt thunder for four or five different builds. Here is a link Critical Note
