Default 440ex jug removal

I have an 01 400ex with a 440 kit installed. I want to take the cylinder out to get it resleeved because it is an older cylinder with some wear and the piston has a bit more clearance than should be. MY question is, can i get the cylinder/jug off the engine without having to take the engine out of the frame or no?

and tie a wire to the timing chain, to hold it up, if it drops, you will be taking the side cover off and pulling the flywheel/mag assembly to get it back on the sprocket !!!!!
