big bore bolt on kits....

Default big bore bolt on kits....

thinking of getting a 310 kit for my 250r. Its an '86 so its not the long rod. Are there any true bolt on kits, links preffered thanks.

That's just what I was looking for. Does it require a long rod though? It doesn't state. Also will a 310 head need a bigger carb? How would one of these stack up against any of the 450r's in a drag race?

You would probably want a 39mm airstryker carb. and you'll need to get the matching intake boot you can get that from esr also. Then get a set of Vforce 3 reeds ( the whole cage and reed setup ), A paul turner hi-rev or esr atc-5 pipe and get the gearing right and you should be able to smoke the 450s. 330 is long rod 310 is short rod.

Ugh...yeah just researched all the hidden costs, at this point I'm really considering selling the R for a new 450r..

Yeah thats what I found out, speed costs money. But the looks are worth it when a 20+ year old machine smokes all the modern day stuff. Even a tuned stock 250R will give the new stuff a good run. Me personally I could never sell my R or X too much history behind them and it's getting much harder to find one in descent shape thats not beat to crap.
