i have 2000 300ex with a white brothers e series slip on pipe.it kackeled alot all the time.i found a leak where it slips onto the header pipe.i took it apart and found out that the white brothers slip on is to short.it doesn't slip over the header pipe enough and half of it was cut off on one side.it's about 2 inchs to short.what would be the best way to fix it..??? find about 2 inch's of pipe the same size and make a sleave and clamp it down on both sides or just cut it off and make a hole new one and weld it on one side and clamp it to the header pipe..?? any ideals...???

 

If it were me, I would tackle the header pipe first, and then modify what is necessary to add to the slip on so that it all comes together.
If an extension is needed, I would do that on the header pipe.

Used header pipes can be bought cheap....exhaust cans, cant.
