Just got a call from the dealer, Looks like Honda Lied and the Frame is still on back order, no known date for repair. We are on week 5 of it being in the shop and the warranty runs out in 5 days! I have tried the following.
1. Called the number in the owners manual, got simply nowhere
2. tried to contact the western service dept. Rep and got knowwhere
3. Sent the letter on the first post by certified mail to the "president" of Honda and got the return slip back signed, and have NOT herd anything since.

I hate to sound heartless, but how long are you going to put up with this without contacting a lawyer? If you get one involved they will know you mean business. I have been riding Honda bikes and or quads for over thirty years and have never experienced problems like yours. A lot of this has to be dealer related. They aren't going to bat for you--so get your own bat (lawyer) and use it.

Sounds like lack of dealer prep! On most new machines there are checklists that a dealer checks off and signs to ensure they take the proper step for set up. Normally this paper is with your packet with the manuals and receipt of purchase. If you have this paper which has them checking off that they installed the tires, filled the oil, and installed the battery you have got them in your sights for liability for the problems you have encountered. Talk to the owner of the dealership and work your way up to Honda. There is no excuse for that kind of set up / service.

well JRM I think a lawyer is the way we need to go if we want something done right.... Last week was the 4th time honda had broken down my rubi to try to fix it and the grinding is still there... I have contacted honda service again and talked to them once more. I also talked to my lawyer while i was settling a speeding ticket and he said that he would have no problem resolving this problem but the onlything is that it would cost me $$$ but may save my trouble and time.... I'm really thinking about it. The new rubi might be worth the $$$ i spent on the lawyer...

oh well...

That grinding noise is because of low oil presure, have them check then if is low and then have check the two pressure valves.Good luck"I am almost one hundred percent sure that that's what it is.

Mark....

this is out ragous i could cry! this is so d*mn sh*ty! and from honda?! i think lawyers are the way to go. iv waited 3 months which was supposed to be 4 days for piston/rings changed. they put the piston in backwards and screwed my whole cylender. they bored it out and sleeved it, now it runs fine. total time 134 days $250.

Although you have a baaaaaaaaaaad dealer, there are some things you should be smart enough to check for yourself...not waiting for them to break and whine. It's better to prevent and not have the hassle.
When I got my shee...first thing I did was check all the possible nuts and bolts, grease everything...etc. You have to do some work...and the dealer too. But by a thourough checking, you might have spotted them...and still be riding now.
They will never give you a new quad (open your eyes and stop dreaming). They will repair yours under warranty and that will be it. This being said, if they are changing the frame at the dealer you got it from...mmmh...I wouldn't dare riding it!!

goattrotter (mark) that noisey is not the check valve it sounds like the chains slipping but Honda cant seem to find the problem.... I've check the oil and it was fine, It only does it after 20-30 mins or riding then after about 40mins it want stop grinding at all, and sometimes want pull its own weight...
here is a link to a sound clip I've recorded of the grinding It is about 36sec. long
