4 trax fuel pump problem
#1
this 1989 350 4 trax quit running and i found that the fuel pump was very
warm. i rmoved the pump and hooked it to a battery and it fluttered ok.
then i checked the voltage of the leads going to the pump and the reading
was 5.8 volts. can anyone help me? is there a pump relay or some kind of
electrical control box?

Yes cut off relay is just under the right rear fender setting on quad.[inside an triangle box].. I would use an curcuit light tester on the black with blue stripe at pump harness[red lead on this wire and blk lead to ground] then turn ign.key on push starter button then curcuit light should light up if voltage is okay. relay works off of cdi[ign.brain] everytime cdi sparks it turns the relay on then pump.Check out then get back with us.
