Well I am going to be geting a 250x.I am washing the blaster tommorow and we will be putting it in the paper for$1200.00.I have some questions though

What is difference between the 250x motor and the 300ex.I know electric start.But what else?what give the 300ex the extra 38 cc's of displacement?

Is the exhaust the same?What about the carb?And does it have 2 or 4 valves?

Besides the CC diff...

Pipes are the same, but some after market pipes are different..

The 300 gets it's extra cc's from a longer stroke. It also has a beefier bottom-end. It is a 4-valve head.
Don't know about the pipes and the carb.

 

well I haven't found one yet.I bought a tradin times,a truck trader and searched just about every where on the net and can't find on in my area.If anyone knows where there is a 1988-1992 trx250x for sale in or around st louis missouri please e-mail me.

the pipe is the same. off the top of my head, dont quote me on this, i believe the 250x carb is smaller, 28mm, where the 300ex is a 32mm
