Default Rincon quits?

I was riding my 04 rincon today, gave it a wash then about 1 1/2 hours later i went for a ride while warming up the bike it quit so I started it up let it warm up bait more then left. I got around 2-3 km down the road and it quit again it would start and then quit again. I put the gas to reserve and it started and went for awhile. When I put it back to the on position it went for a bit then stopped? Any ideas? I am wondering if the carb could be dirty? Thanks in advance!!

Could be you have water in the tank. There is also a screen on the fuel petcock that could be clogged.

I'd also check the cap and vent. If it is blocked it won't let air in to replace the volume of fuel as it is burned, resulting in the engine starving.

See if its a Venting problem, my Yamaha Big Bear did that, the venting in the gas cap quit working. To see ,just run the ATV without the gas cap on,if it works then the tank is not venting.

A buddy and I took the gas line off to carb. When the fuel dial is on , ON, it was not getting hardly any fuel. When we put it to reserve it flowed good. I then took the tank off and fuel line cleaned the screen and blew out the lines. I also emptied the tank not too much debris in the gas but a few small particles, so I cleaned out the tank and re-installed everything the bike started great I will take it on a run tomorrow and update again. The wife is out and the kids are sleeping. Talk soon, thanks for the help, hopefully it was just a little dirty.

Sounds like you've got it, but let us know how the test ride goes.

Took the bike for a test drive tonight, all was good.Only had a problem once, I was doing about 87kph and let off the throttle and the bike stalled/quit. I slowed down to a stop started again and went for another ride and had no issue. Hopefully the stall/quit won't happen anymore. If you have any ideas or thoughts as to how or why it did this that would be great!!

I wonder if you might also have some debris inside the carb...

Since you had gunk in the filter screen, taking the carb apart and blasting out all the jets and passages with a good cleaner might be a good preventative service anyway.
