I think that might be a good idea, is it very difficult to get the carb off? Just by looking it doesn't seem like it would be. I just know what it was like to get off on my crf-x 250, it was pretty tedious?

Shouldn't be a big deal.

Having a service manual might be nice, though.

Yes, I do have a service manual, I bought right after getting the rincon. I like to do as much as I can myself on my bikes/atvs. Pretty busy the next couple of nights but I will post as soon as I clean carb! Thanks again

Finally got a chance to look at the bike again. I put a cup under the drain hose and unscrewed the drain screw. I let it flow for about 45 seconds then stopped it. When I checked the cup there was a fair bit of dirt in the bottom. I then did the same process 2 more times and when I checked after the last one the gas was clean and no sign of dirt. Should I take the carb off and clean or (what I'm thinking) was the dirt that was in the bowl which is now gone my problem. I will try bike this week-end and re-post.

If it were mine, I'd take the carb apart and clean it. If there was trash in the float bowl, there's probably trash in the passageways and jets.

Yeah, I think I will. Then I can have a piece of mind that the entire line from gas tank to the carb is clean and in good working order. One more question. Right now it has an K&N air filter in it, I was thinking of going with a UNI as I have heard that the K&N will let more through. I am not worried about getting more(air). I want the best for the bike. Thanks again.

I also won't run a gauze type filter on an ATV or dirtbike. Uni or stock would probably be fine.

You are out of gas! If fuel barely comes out when it's on and flows good in RES, you're out of gas!

I wasn't out of gas! If you read the earlier posts I drained all the gas from the tank after to clean it and it was far from empty!
