Default 1987 honda fourtrax 350/ fire issues

pls help. i have a 350 trx 87. wrecked it about ten years ago, so its been sitting in the barn since. i decided to pull it out about a week ago and get it running. with only taking the carb off and cleaning it and also the fuel pump it fired right up. i was amazed. anyways, i rode it a couple days on trails and in the woods, nothing crazy, and now it wont run at all. the first thing that happened is after i shut it off the first night and tried to crank it, the fuel pump wouldnt work. so i tapped on the pump and started working again. thought i fixed it, WRONG! my dad ran it just around the farm the following day with no problems. the next day i go to crank it and the same problem is there. i tried the same thing but nothing happens. thought it was the pump but i hooked it straight to a battery and it pumped fine. cleaned the carb out again and still nothing. took the spark plug out and now im getting no spark. can someone pls help

You may have an cdi failing you. sitting on atv the right frt just above the tire inside of the inner fender[black plastic] piece is an black box 2x4 size hit it with an screwdriver handle pretty hard serveral times I mean hard.. check spark while doing this an see if it sparks when you hit it. If it does then bingo bad cdi. If not get back with us..

Before you start wailing on something like the cdi, check your connections for your kill switch to see if there's any corrosion
