A few of you guys helped me get this thing back out again, so I wanted to update you. (This Honda was given to me by a coworker, as-is, I had to do some fixups on it.)
As you can see, it's doing pretty good! haha. That's my son, WITH a helmet on!, at Natchez Trace 4wheelin a couple of weeks ago.
We had an awesome time. Went with a buddy and his son.
Good father-son, man-time. He rode, and wrecked, one of their dirt bikes and I rode the Honda.
It's in the shop now because the brakes went out. And I mean OUT. To the tune of me backing it outta the garage and it wouldn't stop of crap. I backed straight into a white vinyl fence and broke it all down. So, it's in the official shop now. Replacing shoes, dust seals, said the cam/cables had completely froze up. Now, it hasn't had hardly any front brakes. I refilled the master a couple of weeks ago but didn't bleed the air outta the lines. duh, so they did that and 'adjusted' the left front and they said they are working.
Cranks great, runs well except will die sometimes if idling less you run up the choke a lil.
The axle had rounded off on the left rear end. Neighbor sorta "welded" it but it came off. So another guy I know who works on these took it to his house and put a weld on it that hasn't come off yet. It's doing fine.
Expensive lil habit this is guys.
I can get it in my truckbed, but my daughter's bf wants to go with us. So, I had to get a trailer and ramps.
Then, of course, we needed helmets.
Now the brakes are gonna be $260.00.
But that puts me into that four wheeler, for around 600.00 which ain't too bad.
Just wanted to drop an update on here cause you guys helped me get this thing running again.
I love it, looking forward to getting it back.
Now, gotta get the fence fixed.
