Default 1982 honda 200e (problems firing, n starting

hi i hane problems geting spark. ive put in new plug, coil, cdi box, starter, cleaned cdi (pulse). tuning over not geting spark. so i decided to put in stator so i tore it apart found it drenched in oil. normal? figured it wasnt so i cleaned magneto with electrode cleaner installed new one and know starter just makes whinning noise. not sure whats wrong now any ideas. tried charging battery because it was only reading 12.3volts also new. i think i have the gears back in properly also could one of them be catching maybe any ideas would be helpful thanks

Have you checked the air gap on mechanical advance on the side the cylinder head? Did you changed the source coil? or lighting coil? their hard to ID.

Well starter gears misalignment won,t stop firing BUT if starter clutch is slipping then the starter clutch has got wear, so the 3 rollers,3 springs, 3 springs caps grabs the starter gear and if wore these parts or some of these parts are bad, If bad!! the torque of the engine will cause the gear to slip which will cause an whining sound in starting, And could result in ignition timing to be off and make the spark off of TDC but I don,t think it will not kill ignition IMO just retard ignition.

tore apart again found oil again running down shaft coming through magneto wheel not sure if there is a bad gasket or something. all i can see a is a set of ball bearings. could it be the o ring not setting correctly when i put the altinator bolt back in? hoping somebody has had this problem before. any ideas! think the starter problem was just a gear binding up.
