Rubbing Chain
#2
One way to tell if it's worn out is to pull it away from the rear sprocket in the back. If you can see more than 1/3 of a tooth, it is worn out.
A second way is to lay the chain on the floor in as straight of a line as possible. Pull & push the chain together and apart. If it moves more than about 3/4", it is worn out.
A third way is to hold the chain up and measure the distance between 10 links. The distance that it should be if it is good should be listed in a chain chart on the web somewhere. Or just a place that sells chain can tell you.
But, beware that if the chain is worn out, so are the sprockets and they should also be replaced.

Not familiar with this atv but can you adjust the chain to where it's completely loose? Run the adjustment all the way "forward" to put max slack in the chain?
Then you could see if a link can be removed. Other than that, new chain as well as new sprockets.

Thanks for the replies. After looking a little closer I realized that the chain is rubbing on the chain tensioner. I think this tensioner should have rubber around the bearing. I guess the rubber has worn off of the bearing. Has anyone had any experience with this?
Thanks
