Default honda rancher 350

This is my first honda and the left brake handle feels like it is soft. Does it need adjusting. It goes in reverse easy it just feels like the brakes aren't engaging fast enough. My polaris will skid the tires when i brake it. thanks

Is the left handle for the front brake or back? Drum or Disk. On my 450 Foreman with front drums there was a hole in the front rims that had a red plug, then you adjust the shoes with a screw driver. I forget which direction you turn the dail to make the brakes tighter though.

The back brake is adjusted by a butterfly nut.

left handle is rear brakes. there is two spring looking devices on the rear that i think adjusts it.

Yes , one butterfly nut adjusts the handle slack and the other is for the foot pedal play.

top butterfly at back for the handbrake adjust.... if that doesn't work you probably need a new handbrake cable.
I would also open up the brake drum and give everything a good clean and service.
