Default Carb ?

My 450r will sometimes putter and cut off. If I wait a few minutes it will crank first kick and I was wondering if cleaning the carb could solve this problem? I have owned the bike for about 3 years and I have never cleaned it but I just had the motor rebuilt and I thought the jacklegs that did it would have but knowing them they didnt.

Cleaning the carb would be a good preventative anyway.

I'd also make sure the tank vent isn't plugged. When it cuts out, if you loosen the gas cap and it immediately will restart...

On a lot of Hondas there is also a fine screen attached to the petcock that you can clean by pulling the petcock out of the tank.
