You can get one for a mountain bike and mount it on your quad. The cost is about $20.oo total for a digital speedo. All you have to do is get a more powerful magnet than the one that comes with it and to remember that the leads which generally aren't long enough contain 2 wires. The magnet nad wire can be gotten at your local Radio Shack.

I just put one on my 400ex about 2 weeks ago and it is pretty accurate only off by about 3 mph and could be better. i run it right off the rear sproket and i didnt use any battery cable all you need is pos/neg copper wire make sure its really thin i bought mine for 25 bucks and it works great

I bought a Bell 12 function at canadian Tire on sale last week for $20. In the states, wall mart has them. I didn't mount it yet because I cant drive anywhere.(too much snow) And I don't want the snowmobilers to get mad if I drive on "thier" trails. It does mark then up somewhat, so I can understand snowmobilers getting mad.
