Hey guys, I have a 1987 250R that has been sitting a while. I have checked the fluids, put in a new spark plug, and cleaned the carb and fuel tank and lines.
It starts fine but today I started it up and after it warmed up I took it for a ride down the road and it was fine. but at the end of the road i turned around and let her rip til i was WOT in 6th gear and then she died. just plain sputtered a bit and died. I coasted back to the house got off and looked in the fuel tank and it was half full. I tryed starting a minute later and it started in 2 kicks and then ran fine.
Does anybody know what happened??? I want to take this up to the trails this spring but I dont want it to die on trails. Any help in much appreciated.

maybe the vent line is stopped up? on the tank
