1997 Honda Foreman 400 4x4
I got a 97 honda foreman 400 4x4. Recently the rear axle gears have stripped off and i know thats the problem in the back because if i take the oil fill plug i can see the ring gear turn but the axle shaft dont. But at the same time the front wheels do not go at all. If you hold the front drive shaft where it goes into the motor with pliers the wheels spin but the shaft does not spin. What can my problem be? If you need any more info ask me Thanks , Polaris Man With Issues

If you're certain that there is a gear or spline destroyed why don't you take it apart until you expose the issue then decide what to do ?
If you're not certain that there is a spline or gear destroyed perhaps you could drain the rear differential oil and inspect it for metal chunks to confirm your suspicions...
Seems to me that if there's something definitely destroyed in the rear end your only choices are to take it apart yourself or pay a qualified mechanic to do it.

i know that the rear axle is bad because i have put a old axle in that was almost wore but it worked for like 6 months so i know thats the problem with the rear but i am mostly concerned about the front drive train. There is some sorta connection between the front driveshaft and the front differential. What connects it that is my problem i think if i knew what was wrong i wouldnt be writing this thread haha
