....... When your old tech. machine goes 9 out of 10 places the brand new quads go and you dont have to pull out a wrench to get home. It would be nice if they made the 400ex liquid cooled tho.

400 ex is one of the best , most reliable, most popular machines ever made hands down!

Great quads

Honestly I think carbs are the way to go. Easy to work on.

yeh- on a flat sandy trail, a sand pit or a grassy field. useless on any New England trail.

hmmm- yep, cause tearing apart a carb and all its little parts and focking with jets and settings is soooo much simpler then just simply replacing a fuel injector- yep, those floats and needle valves out perform an injector- but you're right, I totally forgot how fun it was focking with a choke, flooding the engine or dealing with a stuck needle valve.

yep- carbs are so much better then EFI

Number of times I've had to deal with annoying carb issues in the past 3 years on my 05 / 06 BF and 05 /06 rincon = 4

Number of times I've had to deal with annoying EFI issues in the past 3 years on my efi atv's = 0 (zero)

I don't think carbs are so bad if you use the quad regularly. If it sits it's not so good.

So, have you got to test those tires out some more? They look like they are a good all around tread.

For me, I'd be happy with a carb or efi. Not so much what makes the quad run as much as it is what makes it stop. Like trees.

nothing stops a quad like water in a floatbowl-

I forgot how much better efi was until I had to start up my rincon or brute when it was 12* outside- get any moisture in that carb and now you're sitting in the shed with a heat gun- been there

I guess if you live in a warmer climate- not such an issue- but for the other half of us who spend 1/2 the year below freezing- EFI was a god-send!!!

When I owned my business- I'd say at least 65% of all small engine issues were carb related...
