Hey all, I have a 91 Honda Trx250x with an 87 built motor I swapped into it a while back. The motor ended up seizing up so I'm thinking of going the 350x motor swap route. My question is I have a yoshimura full exhaust currently and I'd like to use that with a 350x motor. I know this is a common question and I've searched extensively and can't find out what I should do. Also what other parts could be interchanged from my 250x motors such as Barnett Racing clutch?

yes the clutch will work , You can use you exhaust but you need to fab a head pipe . I dont if any other parts will work. I have this same conversion let me know if you have any questions

 

Thanks for the reply and the help. I live in northern Indiana around south bend do you know anywhere close in the midwest that'd be able to fab a headpipe?

 

I live in Middletown Ohio just north of Cincy. Just about any fab shop should be able to do it . I made mine from a couple of 450r head pipes . I made a 2 into1 exhaust header for mine but you can get a 400ex head pipe and put a 3" extension on both pipes and mate it into your 300ex pipe . Powroll .com sells an exhaust but its $700.00 , my headpipe is similar to theirs and I used a 450r muffler on mine

 

When my conversion was still alive I had found an old dg exhaust head pipe for a 350x that was on close out from Dennis KIrk for like 30 bucks. I used that, extended it 3 inches and then used a 450r muffler also. Worked like a charm. Not a whole lot engine wise is compatible from the 250x to the 350x sadly

 

Thanks for all the replies. My deal on the 350x motor fell thru so I think I'm just gonna get another 250x motor and see what all I can salvage from my other motor just to have something to ride for now. I'll keep an eye out for another good deal on a 350x motor and possibly be able to get it and build it and use your advice on makin my own headpipe for it.
