Default 99 Foreman 400 4 x 4

I am looking at a 99 Foreman 400 4 x 4. It is in excellent condition and comes with a winch and full skid plates. It has hardly been used. The tires are original and they have 80% tread left. It has been garage kept. Are there any known issues with this model? All I will do with it is trail ride. The asking price is $2800 but I offered him $2000. He balked but I gave him my number anyway. Should I offer more? KBB and NADA are pretty low but they don't always reflect what the market is. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

Yeah those 400's are build like tanks. Just check the oil and obvious other signs of wear and tear like smoking. But if it is as you suggest, sounds like a good find to me. I agree with you on the $2000 price, regardless of the condition it is still a 12 year old ATV, so $2000 sounds realistic.

Good luck.

All is not lost because I learned two important things: 1. Foreman 400 4 x 4's are great machines 2. Act quicker if I ever see another one in good shape at a fair price.
