My friend got the old Honda? ATV for free. It's fuel tank is beyond repair and he needs a new one BUT we don't know what the model is. Can someone ID this tank please? It has a fuel gauge on top, something I've not seen before.

Thats an Trx 250 fourtrax tank! the 1985 thru 1987 in the same tank! Get an plastic tank is the best thing to do.

 

Thanks for the identification. I went to eBay looking for a 85-87 TRX 250 tank and got lots of tanks that look different. Of course some were 250R, 250X, 250EX, etc....

I'm assuming I need a plain TRX 250 but those were $180+ on eBay (new). This might be a long hard search for a cheap used tank that fits.

 

Correct just an plain Trx 250 fourtrax! Not anything else work! No x,ex,r, none of them! Can get an plastic around here for round 130 bucks!
