2003 Honda Foreman won't fire...any suggestions to begin looking for the problem?

 

Have you been having problem with the battery goin dead? The most common problem is voltage regulater/recfiter.But need to start checking out this stuff.

 

No problems with the battery until I couldn't get it started. It has always been a slow starter and I hadn't had it running for at least a couple weeks. I got it to fire and turn over a couple times after hitting the primes but it cut out after a second or two.
