I desperatly need to go riding this weekend after sickness the whole week, but I have one problem, IT'S MUDDY AS HELL! This would normally be fun, but my stock tires are near bald from road riding, and my recon needs rejetting. And I was thinking, since I have a 14 tooth sprocket on my 400ex, and my recon's got mud tires the measure 20 inches tall instead of the advertised 22, I could bolt my sur-traks up to my 400ex and go mudding. I'm I nuts, or is this a good idea? I don't know what else to do! Will this prematurly wear out my clutch? I need replies quick!

It will not hurt the bike at all. Here in the coal region everybody runs mud tires(sur-traks&even swampers) on their bikes(300ex,400ex,warrior,banshee,ect..) to get traction in the loose coal dirt. So give em a try maybe you'll like all that traction. But if u really want some searious traction turn em around so the tread is backwards.
