If you like the looks of the C-dale over the Raptor, maybe you should have your head examined... the FX400 looks like a Frog...

 

cannondale modeled the quad after their MX motorcycle. MX bike=MX quad. Cannondale is supposedly putting out a CC motorcycle next year.....the year after a quad set up for CC??? I agree with the bad points about the quad. i have been haggeling (sp?) with my dealer on one down here for 2 weeks. the seat i can live with but the electrical wires hanging off the front?(gone in one ride) and the wide open radiator? i hope if they do come out with a CC racer or just change the design for next years model they will fix those 2 things....also that slab of concrete called a seat! By the way i have him down to $7200 tax and all out the door....i think i might just get it....if the wife lets me

Examine my head? My head is open to new ideas and designs. Not narrow-minded because something "looks like a frog". What kind of logic is that? Besides, you remember what happened when the princess kissed the frog....

 

That price is much too expensive when the raptor will probably out peform it anyway

 

Ahhh...I dont know about the Raptor out performing the FX400 out of the box. Its not going to happen. Dont get me wrong...the Raptor is one hell of a machine. A have a few friends that own one. This FX400 *WILL* blow the doors off of it. But the question is...WILL it hold up...only time will tell...

"blow the doors off it",,,,ha ha ha,,just like the dirt bike did,,,oh thats right the dirt bike couldnt even finsh its first few races,,,what a piece of crap so far,,,and the C-dale got such great reviews so far,,,"underpowered compared to everything else in its class, slow",,,weighs more than what C-dales saying,,,,so far everything I have heard and/or seen is not looking good for C-dale,,,I wish just the opposite was true and Cannondale was living up to all their hype,,,but sorry no such luck,,,back to the drawing board (again),,

 

To me, not only it doesn't look that bad...but I would definitely get it if I were a serious mxer (which I might become...we'll see this summer). This thing should be ready (just add a set of nerfs...oops...who makes them?) to race. I really don't think you can compare to trail quads (400ex, Raptor, Banshee), but with a built up 10 year old 250R (can someone remind me how much does an Ohlins equipped 250R cost?). To me, it's far from being overpriced. Here, a dealer has a built up 400ex for 13500cdn (it has a graphic kit, Razrs all around, BigGun silencer, AC ProPeg nerfs, Renthal, Ohline shocks..etc). That's the same price as a fx..but slower!
And you can't give a value to an aluminium frame and EFI.
Oh yeah..the hard seat must $uck bad!! I hate those brick like seats.

my list of mods includes a purple gas cap vent hose , purple scott grips , a head light guard , new shiny lug nuts , a paint job & dice valve caps - so i have noooooooo reason here 2 bash .
