After reading all the post about all the different brands. I guess the old Honda 300 4x4 is
probably the best 4 wheeler ever made. I thought about a new one, but i guess i'll just pass, and keep the 98.

 

Yes......I think the Honda is the best all around atv ever made.I've been wanting one for a long time!

 

Hook,I agree 100% I selling my Rancher to get a 300 4x4,I seen too many 300 4x4 that has been abused bad and still run like new,My friends 300 will go anywhere a Foreman or a Rancher will go...

 

Hook: I have to agree with you, we have 2 '88's a 4x4, 2x4, we have had to change both cdi units, and the batteries, 1 battery last fall, the other one about a month ago. Both were orignal equipment, 12 years on a battey isn't too bad. Fuel, oil change every 50 hrs, lots of seat time.

My 1990 300 has been drowned, abused, and flipped down mountains. But it still goes where these new ATV's go. Alot of the time I can ride and add up the ages of all the ATV's with me and they are still younger than old Blue.

 

I agree with you guys in the fact that the 300 4by is a great machine. My buddy has one and we showed up a magnum 500 in mud, thanks to the fact that his engine quit and his belt slipped. But I disagree in that it is the best. The new Honda Rancher clearly will outdo the 300 in every category. I tested this myself with my dad's rancher against my buddies 300. I still love the ol' 300's though.

 

strokerEX: i agree with you... the new ranchers kick ***... there front differentails are great... the can go up any hills... only better than that is my rubicon .. haha
