DMC is coming out with a new version of their double barrel exhaust system. They call it the Alien because the profile of the silencer is shaped like an alien's head. I wonder if it will be any better than the standard double barrel system. Personally I prefer the looks of the standard system but I would get the Alien if it worked better. I have seen a couple dyno charts for the standard double barrel system and they all showed a rough power curve with lots of spikes and dips. Perhaps the new design will smooth the power curve out a bit?

Has anyone heard when this system will be out? Apparently it is already available for the Raptor- any reports on how well it works with the Raptor?

How good is the DMC pipe anyway? I'm wondering if it's somethign worth putting on my 250X.

 

You can't always believe the dyno's. I can't see how the it had dips and spikes, because my 400EX pulls hard from bottom to top. I don't feel any spikes in the powerband from the seat-of-the-pants. There is only so much power a pipe can give a 4-stroke, and i think it will be pretty tough to better the original DMC. If it is though, i'd be in line to get one.
