Default Help changing 1998 TRX90 rear bearings

Hello all. I am hoping someone might be able to give me the steps I need to take to change the rear bearings on a 1998 TRX 90 four wheeler. Also, I cant seem to get the rear wheel lug to come off. Does it take a special tool? I bought this used and mostly wrecked and am in the process of fixing it for my kids. Ive managed to get the two bolts that are against the back brake drum loose, but they are still on the axel since I cant seem to figure out how to get the wheel off. Basically, Im just wondering where I go from here. I really want to do this myself. Any information would be greatly appreciated and if you need more info, just let me know and I will send it. THANK YOU!

The wheel should just unbolt from the hub with a 17mm socket, then the hub will be secured to the axle with a bigger nut, I think it's 22mm that has a cotter pin through it. Then the hub should slide off of the splines. Pull the drum and and axle retainer nuts, slide the axle out of the carrier, knock out the old bearings from the carrier, drive new ones in and re-assemble.

Default Thanks!

Thanks for your response. I do have one more question for you if you dont mind. How does the brake drum come off the axel? We cant get it to budge. The housing is off, but the silver brake drum beneath it will not move. Is there a special way you have to take it off? I really appreciate the info!!

The drum should just slide off of the splines after you have removed the 2 big double nuts from the axle. There aren't any snap rings or anything like that to hold it. If it will wiggle and still not come off, make sure the brake is backed clear off so the shoes don't contact the drum at all.
