Help! 2006 Honda Rancher 400
#1
I need help on where to start!
I have a 2006 Honda Rancher 400. Last night I cranked the bike and put it in drive, I had it in first gear when I hit the KILL button on accident. I then put it in neutral and and then back in drive and the bike would NOT MOVE! It would go through all the gears on my screen but wouldn't move. But the bike would go in Reverse and move with no problem.
Please help!! Sensors?? Loose Wires?? Has anyone had this problem??

Hello Amanda,
I have a '05 400 AT, but haven't run into this same problem. However, I agree that the first step is to check your fuses. Especially the fuse to the shift motor. Regarding the shift motor, do you hear it spin when you press the shift buttons up and down? If not, it could be the shift motor's bad, or the fuse is blown.
If the motor spins when you push the shift buttons, then there is some other issue. But start with checking the fuses and checking to see if you can hear the shift motor spin.
