I know someone who has used the plastic renew, they spent alot of time on it, and it turned out great. If you have the time to do it, I would use the plastic renew. Just don't spill any gas on it when you get it done, otherwise, it will look like crap.

I have used Plastic Renew and it turned out great. I took the time to do it properly and that's the trick to it. You can't be in a hurry. Take each piece and sand them so smooth that you can't feel anything wrong anywhere. If you can feel it, it will show later when you put the finish on. Also, keep it very clean.
I used it on my wife's '93 EX. I took almost 2 weeks to sand, then I put on 9 coats of the finish and steel wooled it after every 3rd coat. Looked great and really increased the resale price.

i only have really bad scuffs, and just a couple scratches. can i get by with just using a couple of coats of the stuff in the bottle, then stell wooling it? but i will sand the scratches no matter what.

It works good, but if you have deep scratches it dosn't work so good because you'd be sanding for a month, but for the small scratches it works really good.
