Lexx mxe vs. HMF

I have owned both albeit for a YFZ. I was actually pretty impressed with the Lexx. For the money it is a decent system and it easily passed the 96dB sound testing the AMA was "using" a few years ago. I actually switched to this from an earlier HMF system that would make your ears bleed even with the quiet core in. Power from the Lexx was a bit mellower, but very exceptable considering it was a slip on comparing to a full system. Unfortunately, I was rear-ended and the Lexx mid-pipe bent until it hit my shock. Over the course of one race a large hole developed. I replaced it with the new style HMF and haven't looked back. Quality is better, and it is also much quieter with the new design. They do recommend running the 96dB core at a minimum unless you HAVE to be in at 94 though.
Bottomline, either system is nice, but the HMF holds a slight edge over the Lexx in everything but price.
