Honda Rincon 680
#2
No diff lock true AWD and at 39hp for a 680cc its really underpowered vs say a 700 (686cc) Grizzly with 45 hp. Also the Rincon has no low range so it can never pull or push as hard as other utility ATVs.
My 500 in low range with true AWD will pull harder then a 680 Rincon. Honda is behind in the Utility side of ATVs. They really should give up on the OHV motors and switch to OHC like every one else plus get a diff lock system.

x 2 with tlc-
comparing the 2013 rincon 680 (38.5hp)
the brute force 750 (49.6hp)
to a can-am outlander 650 (61hp)
grizz 700 (47hp)
outlander 800 (71hp)
some atv's in the same cc class almost double the hp rating.
but that being said- I ride with a friend- who's a pretty big guy and he rides a 2009 rincon 680- never see him stuck or struggling to keep up. I had 2 rincon 650's- they were nice in the trail but I didn't like the way they shifted. once you get used to the smoothness of a cvt... it's hard to ride anything else.

the Rotax engine is an amazing powerplant!
If you've never read up on the history of the Rotax engine on wikipedia- you should! It's very interesting- Rotax has been around for a long time (since 1920!!!) Used in military, airplanes, boats, sleds, bikes and now atv's- their engineering is almost unmatched in the industry.
