I have a 2003 400ex and its not firing, replaced the stator (its a 200w ricky stator if that makes a differnce),wiring harness, button pad (where the startbutton/killswitch/lights), cdi box, and even the coil. Just dont know whats wrong with it.

Have you checked the voltage regulator? Give alittle history on this atv//Was it running then quit? Did you just traded for it an wasnt running? Was it running before replaced stator?

I had a lot of problems with my Banshee after I installed a Ricky Stator 200 W stator. I put the stock stator back in and all my troubles went away. It was robbing spark and causing the bike to run poorly and quit. I found that those 200w stators were made in China and were not well made.

If he has the stock stator, since he has already changed out most everything else I would put it back in as well.

Good luck.

we think we found the problem, one of the people at duncan racing international said that the only thing it can be is the ground wire, but does anyone know where the ground wire is, we really wanna get this thing going.

Did you check the fuse by the battery?

we tested all the wires that connect to the battery, and the fuses. Were pretty sure its the ground wire, would anyone happen to know where it is?
