300ex underperforming

300ex underperforming

So I have a 100% stock 300ex. However, I feel like it wont hit top speed, or anywhere close to it. Any opinions? Also, It leeks a small amount of gas when it sits if that offers any help.

If gas leaks, good chance there is a carb problem. Remove and clean and see if that helps.
FYI: My 300 goes about 50. 55 on a long downhill rd....LOL

Had a big red doing same thing. Float beetle was trash. Causing carb to over fill and flood. Ran horrible.
