So HP and Torque are different for EFI and carb?

Guess the tires would need to be different too.

 

If I'm not mistaken, "did you step in something" was prolly joking. There was a long thread a few months ago about EFI vs. Carb. If he was joking, I got the joke and actually it was a pretty funny one. lol. And the color one was funny too. But, seriously, was the chain you bought last year an O-Ring chain or not? A non-O-ring chain will not last long at all and are not worth buying. And keep it lubed with chain lube, not just oil. Chain lube is sticky and won't sling off the chain. Another tip is to oil the inside edges instead of the outside. That way, as you drive, the centrifigul force will drive the oil through to the outside of the chain. If you oil the outside, then the oil will never get to the inside.

 

No, is just that some people think EFI is some kind of HP enhancer like a super charger or Turbo.

Except for KTM all the 450 motocross swited to EFI a few years ago from carbs but there HP did not improve.

id just get a race driven chain. there at a good price not expensize and nice quality chains.

 

Got the new DID chain in today, going to install this weekend. Hope my existing sprockets hold out for the summer at least, that way I can save up and buy a sidewinder chain and sprocket set next; those are the best of the best from what I've read and the price tag conveys it. Darn near 400 bux for the whole set when you factor in shipping and handling.

 

Keep an eye on ebay. You never know when a good deal will pop up.

What I'm planning, is it hard installing a new chain? I haven't done it in several years and sorta forgotten. Are there any special tools required for the job?
