Honda ATC 110 3 Wheeler Piston Ring Question
Hi.
This is my first post here, but I SERIOUSLY need some help.
My Dad and I have been trying for at least 2 months trying to compress these dang piston rings to get them into the head or jug or what ever it's called.
We tried everything from a ring compressor to a hose clamp to just trying to hoax it in with our fingers and some screwdrivers...
What are we doing wrong?
Please help.
Thanks

Is your atc cylinder tapped at the bottom? should be.....If you have the oil ring expanders aligned correct and not overlapping at the ends and oil rings in the groove of expanders or rails..then shouldbe fairly easy to get them compressed..I always use my fingers by pinching the ends to the inside an goes in with ease if the expanders or rails are not overlapped each other..So IMO double check the ends of oil expanders or rail some people call them...Good Luck

If I am reading this correctly, then yes. Everything meets your specifications. I'm not 100% sure what you mean by 'tapped', but I think I understand most of it...
This is my first real project, so I may not understand everything. xD
So, Dad said we forgot to size the rings...I could of sword we did, but I guess we didn't...
We'll give it another go and let you know.
Thanks a lot for your help by the way!
