Default 450r shocks on a 400ex

I was just wondering if the 450r shocks made a huge difference or not vs. stock 400ex shocks

The stock 400ex front shocks are horrible. Yes, the stock 450r shocks are a real improvement on the ex. When adjusted to full soft they are a little softer than the ex shocks. The r shocks wont bottom out like the ex shocks. I blew my ex shocks out flat landing after launching off a hill. Never had that issue with the r shocks. Plus you can build the r shocks.
