Honda 450 Rev-Limiter
#1
The other day I was driving down the road and my 450 peaked out at 47 mph (with 26" tires) I noticed that every time I hit 47 it would slow down to 45 and creep its way back up again and the process would repeat.
This could only mean one thing, a rev-limiter. I looked in the shop manual and saw the schematic diagram for the ignition system but could not determine which wire was the feed back loop to ground.
Has anybody figured this one out yet? It seems that these 450's run anywhere between 46 and 51 mph. ( I just want to run on the upper end of the range) Don't you just hate it when you get "dusted" by old Polaris 250 and 300 model beaters?
