I have the EX. I ride with a good friend who has the Banshee. In the woods I'm right there, the only time he pulls away is when we hit a wide open field. I've ridden them both and in the woods I'd take the EX anytime. It handles way better and is allot more user friendly. I don't foul any plugs and can ride allot longer without worrying about fuel. Just my opinion. Good luck.

At 6'-2" you might feel a little cramped on the Honda. The Banshee is much more powerful, but doesn't handle as well. If you get the Honda you'll probably want to hop up the motor at some point. If you buy the Banshee you'll probably say screw handling and hop up the motor even more!

It depends. The Banshee and the 400 are 2 completely different quads. The banshee is super quick for acceleration, while the 400ex is super quick through tight trails. The 400ex suspension is better. It is also a lot less physical to throw around in the woods.

But the banshee is a bit faster than the 400ex but feels 10 times faster than the 400 cause all the power comes at once.

I ride a 400ex and love it. But for a thrill I jump on my buddies banshee and head through a field. But its not something I would want to ride through tight trails everyday.
