I was riding the ole 400 yesterday i was cruising in 3rd gear and all of suddeen i lost all power i punched the gas and gained no power then i let off the gas and it died. Has not started since. Tries to start but cant whats wrong?

 

Also all through the day it felt like i had less power then usual..

 

check these things;
1. compression-use a gauge, not your thumb
2. fuel-is the fuel making it through to the cylinder/jug?
3. spark-is it making spark?

 

Yes spark checked it today. Yes gas is making it through. Could it be cdi? Stator?

what's the compression? you got fuel and spark. hmmm....is the spark weak or strong? weak would lean towards a weak CDI. have you tested the stator's output?

 

No I haven't gotten to test compression or stator. Spark is weak.

 

Anyone? I really want to get this fixed!

 

new plug and CDI should get it.

 

Plug is new ordered new cdi box. What if this does not work?
