I can sell my 250r and get a raptor. My dad wants a 400ex though.I am pretty sure I would get the raptor though.

That isn't the problem. The problem is I really really don't want to sell my 250r.When i see those 400ex's and raptor's sittin pretty on the show room floor I wouldn't mind it.I have something to screw around on.The 300ex.The 250r is pretty much a track bike.U can't get in the woods much because it fouls plugs. Also the chain keeps coming off.Don't know why it just does.

The bearing carrier is tight the chain is tight but it still keeps coming off.Could the chain and sprockets be worn? They aren't sharp or curved. They still look good. But this is the only thing it could be.The swingarm doesn't move any.I am clueless.

Anyway What would U guys do.I would have to start all over again and buy new shocks and expensive stuff again.

How much do u guys think I could get for my R?

Personally i would keep the R.
There are a ton of people out there that would love a raptor and there will be tons of them out there in the next few years, but the 250R is out of production and you wont see more and more of them out there like the raptor.
The raptor is nice because of the 4 stroke (no oil mixing and less maintenance) but there's nothing like a 250R. It's sick because i see people who spend $5000 and up for 250R's that are over 12 years old and beat to hell. Why? Because its a quad that everyone and his brother wants. Alot of guys would kill for one.
Besides that i doubt that the raptor will handle as good as a 250r especially if you spend whatever money you have to spend on the raptor (not all of it) on shocks, a-arms, etc.
To tell you the truth i can't fully tell you why i would keep the 250 because there are a ton of them so that make sense and others that dont..LOL
Just my $0.02

I am probably going to keep it.MY buddies and I have been working on a mx track since last november! We have cut down every tree with an axe and pulled out every stump with a 2 ton hoist. We have been working very hard on it every weekend.

When we get it done.(hopefully this summer)I will have a great place to ride it.Plus I will still be able to race.I am going to get a lonestart swingarm and bearing carrier and a new sidecasing.I would also like to get blue full bore plastic and get the frame powder coated white.I want to look like kory ellis's in heovos 3.

I have it handling awesome now.I am also going to get the front shocks revalved for mx.(they are currently xc)They bottom some times pretty hard.
