300EX pipe, which one???
#1
I have a "00" 300EX. And over the winter I am interested in upgrading some of the stock parts on the quad to improve performance. Exhaust is one of them. There are so many choices out there that I was wondering who has had what luck with which one's. That was a mouth full. I am leaning toward White Brother's E-series and FMF powercore IV. Does anyone have any experiance with either of these or any other pipes?
How loud? What kind of gains? Long lasting?
Thanks for the help.

If you're planning on leaving the engine relatively stock, you might want to look into the Supertrapp system and the Powroll System. These two were the best in a pipe shootout that Dirt Wheels did a few years ago, with the Powroll system slightly edging out the Supertrapp. I think they both gave you about a 12% gain over the stock system.
You can buy the Supertrapp from White Brothers at 714-692-3404. Powroll can be reached at powroll@aol.com or call 541-923-1290.

My '98 300EX has a White Bros. pro-meg silencer ($230) and their stainless header pipe ($120). Yeah that's rather pricey, but the exhaust system looks great and is quite corrosion resistant. As far as performance is concerned it pulls a little harder than my friends '96 300ex w/ a Supertrapp system ( did the '96 and before have a smaller 28mm keihen carb? the '98 has a 32mm I understand). Unfortunately it is rather loud. Good Luck
