Default 08 Honda Foreman 500 U-Joint

I have a 2 inch lift and 28 in outlaws. I bought one from ebay for 38 bucks and didn't last a week with easy riding. I asked tuner but they said they don't make them anymore. So what would be my best option?

U-Joints on a 08? You would think it would have stronger CV joints by 2008.

Heavy 28" tires on the 28hp 475cc Foreman is sure pushing the limits though even on dry land let alone a thick soup mud hole.

They do use CV joint on the honda 4x4s for the front axles. The u joint are used for the driveshafts that come from the engine. I always go oem for stuff like that. Never trust the cheap eBay specials unless you like doing things twice

28s are fine on a foreman, they are geared so low that as long as you stay in the first 2 gears while in the mud your fine.

I ended up going with a Moose Rear Heavy Duty U-Joint that is 2mm bigger than stock for $50 bucks. Thanks for the information though!

I've seen first hand the moose u joints bend after little use. Size isn't as important as the quality of the metal. It may have even been a thread made by 01ssreda

Sorry to hear that, you'd think moose would be aware of the issue by now and correct it.

Partzilla and cheapcycleparts usually have pretty good prices along with rockymountainatv.
I personally like rockymountainatv because they tell you straight up if a part is back ordered and the estimated arrival time before you order it. The other places wait to send you an email after the part has been ordered

Okay went to rocky mountain atv and the pic of the u joint they have is from All ***** and it doesn't have a pic of the yoke which is what I need. I have the pic attached so what I am wondering does it come with the yoke and is All ***** a good brand?

I've never liked all ***** in terms of bushings and bearings. Their stuff wears 2-3 times faster than comparable oem parts. Oem is the best you can get but if you want a good aftermarket brand, pivot works has a pretty solid reputation. Not sure if they make the U joint but it's worth checking

Btw, Rocky Mountain has oem parts but they are separated on the site from aftermarket parts. The link to the oem page is at the top right of the website.
