Default Hondat Trx 350

Hi Guys,

My name is Marko and i life in the Netherlands. At this moment i have main two bikes for trail riding: A can am ds 450 and a Honda trx 400. Currently im fixing another quad for my little nephew. He bought a Chinese odes 400 . His back diff is worn out. The Odes just looks like mine TRX. On the internet i found out the Odes is a copy of an trx 350.

Trough Ebay i purchased an old 350 trx 86 back diff, put it wont fit... The axle size are different. Could anyone help me fixing the diff probs. The problems are the that pinion and planet wheel are worn out.

Doe somebody know from which copy the odes is? Or give me some dimensions of the pinion or planet wheel.

Welcome to the board buddy, not familiar here with chinese quads but maybe check or post Chinese quad section for exposure with other owners.

The 86 TRX350 was a totally different machine to the 2000 to 06 one. I suspect the prop shaft would revolve in the opposite direction.
If the crown wheel and pinion are OK, you could fit new bearings, either from a bearing supplier or buy a kit for the later Honda 350 and see if it fits. ATV City in Felixtowe UK can supply this. Alternatively new diff parts from the Odes importer may not be too expensive. Agri-Services, of Newmilns Scotland are UK dealers.

Again, check on-line for a Canadian Odes dealer. The rocker cover gasket for a post 2000 Honda 350 is steel with a corrugation that squashes when you tighten it, so single use only, held down by four M6 bolts, no idea what an Odes has, nor if the Honda 400AT is the same as the 350, the earlier 400 Foreman gasket is bigger. I sometimes try gasket sealant on a used Honda 350 gasket to avoid the wait for a new one, sometimes works, sometimes doesn't.
