I was thinking about putting an 14 tooth sprocket on my 400ex for TT racing. I never hit 5th. Only 4th. I was thinking that with a 14 tooth i could prolly hit 5th gear pretty fast. What do you all think and has anyone tried this?

 

A 14t sproket will lower your gearing if it's a 15t right now. If you want to hit 5th drop down a tooth or two depending on what you have but never go smaller then 12t.
